Ed Dwight (American (Colorado), b. 1933). "African Drummer" - 1986, patinated and parcel gilt bronze, limited edition 9 of 40, signed, dated, and numbered to verso. Modernist figural sculpture depicting a tall and lithe African male in full length drape holding a traditional drum beneath proper left arm and a drumstick in right hand, with dangling hoop earring to one ear beside the downturned and smiling face, figure to a round black marble plinth base. Approximate height 29", width 10", depth 10". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Calvin Wayne McLarin, Atlanta, Georgia.
