Boxed Fanny Gray Paper Doll by Crosby, Nochols & Co. , Boston, c. 1854, closely follows the hand-drawn in lot 223, with minor printer's adjustments. The handwritten boards are now printed, and the story, while basically the same, has been rewritten. The set, which is the same size as the prototype, includes the head, five pages of outfits and the printed booklet, its elegantly lithographed box is marked: Fanny Gray, Published by Crosby, Nichols & Co., 111 Washington St. Boston, S.W.Chandler & Bro. Lith. Boston, 6 x 8 in.
