An RIAA-certified "gold" record award, white linen matte, presented to The Beatles to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of the Capitol Records pop single record "A Hard Day's Night. " The RIAA medallion was most likely used from the remaining stock of RIAA walnut award materials as the RIAA transitioned from the walnut awards to the white matte format.
