A French National Order of Merit [Ordre National du Mérite] presented to Pelé. The Order has five classes, with this medal being the Chevalier [Knight] class. Requirements to receive this honor include being a minimum age of 35 and having completed at least 10 years of distinguished public service. The silver tone and blue enamel medal features a "Republic Francaise" medallion on the front.
