A blue E. R. Moore Company royal blue robe worn by Pelé when he received an honorary doctorate degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, for his humanitarian work and contributions to soccer. The gown features two dark blue velvet panels trimmed with gold braid down the front sides of the gown and three dark blue velvet gold braided bands on each sleeve. An embroidered Hofstra University coat of arms is stitched into each front panel. The degree was conferred on Pele on April 11, 2014, at Hofstra's soccer stadium.
