A trophy presented to Pelé on October 24, 1971, when Santos FC defeated Vasco da Gama FC 2-0 in the Campeonato Brasileiro. The metal trophy features a Bandeirante [translation: one who carries the flag], one of a group of 17th-century Portuguese settlers and fortune hunters in Brazil, most of them from the São Paulo region.
