This gorgeous Enfield rifle has been spoterized (cut down) for hunting post-war, barrel has had the ramrod loops mounted on (are not original) and possibly polished; ramrod may not be original; rifle has lock plate markings of the crown symbol to the rear, with date of 1861 marked over the word TOWER to the front, with thin double line of engraving around the lockplate edge; stock cartouche is worn; possibly "Scott, Birmingham"; measures approximately 55" in total length.
