Limited edition colored French etching depicting children at the beach by Frantz Charlet; signed to bottom right corner; marked to top right corner "Copyrighted by Estampe Moderne, Paris" and to top left "Edite par L'Estampe Moderne 14 Rue Richelieu, Paris 1923"; measures approximately 21-1/2" x 25" with gilded frame and has a sight image of approximately 14-1/2" x 18-1/4"; in Good overall condition.Frantz Charlet (1862-1928) was a Belgian painter, etcher, and lithographer. An Impressionist, he was one of the founding members of the group Les XX. He studied at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels from 1872 until 1873 and again from 1876 to 1881; among his fellow pupils there were Eugène Broerman, François-Joseph Halkett, Théo van Rysselberghe and Rodolphe Wytsman, and his teacher was Jean-François Portaels.
