Escada by Margaretha Ley (Germany, founded 1978), circa 1980s. A designer single-button black gabardine suit jacket or blazer with peak lapels, chest pocket and two lined flap pockets at waist. Lining with subtle repeating "ESCADA". Navy label under gold tone chain linked collar loop marked "ESCADA" above "MARGARETHA LEY", "MADE IN GERMANY" and noted as a European size 40--roughly translated into US size 8. Jacket shoulder to seam approximately 16.50", length (collar to hem) approximately 30.5".
