“Romantic Beauties” A. Golay Leresche, Geneve, enamel painted by Gaspard Lamunière. Made circa 1850. Very fine and rare yellow gold and painted on enamel bracelet. The bracelet composed of three large linked oval gold frames with gold ribbon and buckle surrounds, black enamel line decoration, foliate engraved hinged clasp with sprung-slide fastening, three very finely painted on enamel oval miniatures representing "Le Petit Protégé” -a young lady in a blue dress with a kid, "L’Eté” - a young lady and a child with sheaves of wheat, and " La Bouquetière" - a young lady with a basket of flowers, each inscribed on the reverse with the titles in French and signed "A. Golay Leresche, Geneèe", the obverse of each miniature signed "Gd. Lamuniere. Dim. 4,5 cm. Length 16 cm. Notes Gaspard Lamunière (1810-1865) A painter on enamel, he was born in Geneva and died in Nice. A student of J. Hornung and J. L. Lugardon, he is recorded as working in the rue du Rhône and Saint-Jean 16 (in 1860), as well as in the Chemin des Délices, 2, in 1866. In the rue du Rhône he had a workshop in which his wife and his niece Louise also worked. At the age of 18, Lamunière exhib-ited a series of enamel and oil portraits. Among his students were Françoise (called Fanny) Chatel.
