Etablissement Mixte de Breguet, No. 1410, made by Aimé Janneret-Dubois, sold to Monsieur de Bréauté on July 21, 1824, for Fr. 1500. Fine and unusual 18K gold half skeletonised, quarter repeating, Grande and Petite Sonnerie clockwatch. Accompanied by the Breguet certificate. White enamel annular chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguethands. Double train, gilt brass bar calibre with free standing barrels both for the going and the striking trains,cylinder escapement with plain gold three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressingthe pendant. Grande and Petite Sonnerie on gongs with the striking work partly visible through the annular dial.Strike/Silent and Quarters/Hours and quarters striking bolts in the band.Cuvette signed.Diam. 57 mm. Notes The “Etablissement Mixte” series, according to Breguet himself, consisted of watches made outside his shop but to his design and under his supervision. The escapements were made in his shop. It had been assumed that this register was either lost or that it never existed, but this is not the case. Etablissement Mixte watches have their own special regis-ter, which is in the possession of the company. It begins with No. 1 in 1806 and continues to No. 2421 in 1832. All kinds of watches and clocks are recorded, some quite unusual. Since this “Etablissement Mixte” register is not numbered it is very difficult (but not impossible) to locate it in the book.
