P. yuer, A Florence, circa 1700. Very fine and rare, brass, silver and enamel, pair-cased, single-hand “oignon” watch with alarm. Silver, champlevé with Roman chapters, diamondhalf-hour marks, concentric silver revolving alarm disc withArabic numerals, with blued-steel fleur-de-lys pointer indicatingthe time. Blued-steel alarm hand. 39.6 mm, hinged gilt brassfull plate with turned vase pillars, two-train, fusee and chain,verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, double-footedcock, pierced and engraved with asymmetrical foliage, regulatorpointer protruding from beneath a semi-circular blued-steelguard below the bridge, wheel and click set-up. Pierced andengraved fixed barrel for the alarm driving four-wheel steeltrain, striking on a bell.Signed on the movement.Diam. 60 mm.
