Jean Hubert A Toulouse. Made circa 1690. Fine gilt metal and silver Louis XIV single- hand “oignon” watch wound through the centre. Double-body, silver overlaid, back and bezel lightly engravedwith flowers and foliage. Silver, with radial Roman numeralsand half and quarter-hour divisions. Blued-steel hand. 43.3 mm, hinged gilt brass full plate with turned baluster pillars,fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-armbalance, short flat balance spring, fine gilt brass cock piercedand engraved with inhabited foliage, rack and pinion regulator.Signed on the back plate.Diam. 53 mm.
