“Blowing Bubbles” Swiss, circa 1820. Very fine and unusual 18K gold and painted on enamel, skeletonized watch with movement in the shape of a vase. Three-body, “Empire”, reeded band and bezels, glazed onboth sides. Small white enamel, radial Roman numerals,outer minute divisions. Blued steel hands. Shaped, gilt brass,full-plate fully decorated on both sides with engraved foliage,back with applied painted on enamel plaque depicting two childrenblowing bubbles, fusee and chain, cylindrical pillars, fuseeand chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance,flat balance spring, small two-footed cock.Diam. 48 mm.
