Amourette a Marseille. Made circa 1710. Fine, Louis XIV gilt brass “oignon” watch. Two-body, the bezel and back chased and engraved with scrolls and strapwork, square hinge, loose ring pendant. Black radial Roman numerals on white enamel cartouches set on a gilt brass chased plate, inner enamel half-hour ring, outer Arabic five minute numerals on white enamel cartouches. Blued steel "tulip" hands. 42 mm, frosted gilt full plate, divided Egyptian pillars, going barrel, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, short spring, pierced and chased foliate balance cock, Arabic regulation scale with blued steel pointer. Movement signed. Diam. 57 mm.
