A(braham) Chapuis & Barral, fecit à Genève 1812. Very fine and rare 18K gold, musical watch with cylinder musical movement, of unusual construction and with quarter-repeating. Four-body, "Empire", polished back, reeded band and bezels, gilt metal hinged cuvette. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 4. Blued-steel Breguet hands. Notes A(braham) Chapuis & Barral Makers of musical watches with pined cylinder, starting in the beginning of the 19th century. They often made watches with quarter repeat and cylinder escapements.
