“The Harp” Viennese. Made circa 1860. Fine, 18K gold and painted on enamel pearl-set musical harp fitted with a scent bottle. Front of the soundboard in white enamel painted with Muses and Cupids, back in translucent scarlet enamel over chased hatching and pale green, blue and white flowers and foliage, with hinged compartment for the scent bottle, gold and azure enamel twisted column with pearl-set capital, gold twisted rope strings, base decorated en suite and with pierced gold foliate sound grille, raised on shell and scroll feet. 28 x 21 mm, barillet type with eight stacked tuned vibrating blades, five-wheel train, eccentric bushing speed regulator. Dim. height 91 mm. To be sold without reserve
