"Minute-Repeating, Split Seconds, Perpetual Celendar – For Burt H. Whiteley" Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 111927, case No. 227752. Made in 1900 and sold on November 14, 1906. Extremely fine and extremely rare, minute-repeating, astronomic, 18K pink gold keyless pocket watch with split seconds chronograph, perpetual calendar, phases of the moon and lunar calendar. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. White enamel, radial dauphine numerals, outer minute track, outermost fifth of a second chronograph divisions with red painted five-minute/seconds Arabic numerals, three subsidiary dials for days of the week, aperture for the phases of the moon with lunar calendar, days of the week, months, and date (in red) concentric with subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes The dedication on the cuvette of the present watch reads: Made for Burt H. Whiteley, Muncie, Ind. 1906, by Patek Philippe & Co., Geneva. Presented to his Doctor, Geo. R. Andrews. There are fewer than 50 triple-complication watches known and they are perhaps the most representative of Patek Philippe pocket watches.
