“Repetition à Minutes” Girard-Perregaux, Chaux-de-Fonds, “Repetition à Minutes”, No. 315649. Made circa 1909 for the Spanish or South American market. Fine, large, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold pocket watch with special case. Property of an European Lady Four-body, "bassine", solid, covers with scrolling and floral borders, monogrammed front cover inside with dedication dated 1909, hinged gold cuvette engraved with award medals and “Repetition à Minutes”. Doublesunk white enamel with painted large Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Gilt “Louis XI" hands. Cal. 20’’’, frosted gilt, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 54 mm.
