Fine and very rare, platinum and diamond-set, center seconds, water-resistant, self-winding gentleman’s wristwatch with a platinum bracelet and deployant clasp. Two-body, polished, fluted lugs, the bezel set with 53 round diamonds, screwed-down back. Satiné silver, round diamondset indexes and baguette diamond-set quarter-hour indexes. White gold “baton” hands. Cal. K1071, 13’’’, “fausses cotes” and “oeil-de-perdrix” decoration, 29 jewels, stamped twice with the seal of Geneva quality mark, straight-line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, shock absorber, swan-neck micrometer regulator,18K gold rotor segment with ruby roller bearings. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 9 mm. From “The Collection” Notes It is extremely rare to find a Vacheron Constantin watch with this reference in platinum and diamonds. This makes it one of the finest dress wristwatches made in the 1960s.
