"Hebdomas” Swiss, made for the Indian market circa 1900. Rare and fine 18K gold and enamel, diamondset, eight day going, keyless fob watch with Paul Perret special compensation balance. Three body, "bassine et filets", bezels and band chased with foliate decoration, the back decorated with a fine diamond inlaid grey and red translucent enameled rosette. White enamel eccentric with Roman numerals, outer gilt floral decoration and visible balance. Blued steel "spade" hands. 14’’’, giIt brass, inverted Hebdomas patented caliber with extra large barrel on the back, straight fine lever escapement, Paul Perret bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Diam. 38 mm. Notes On the 20th of December 1888 Paul Perret was granted Swiss patent number 22 for his improvements to the bimetallic compensation balance.
