Very fine and rare, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K white gold, diamond and blue sapphire gentleman’s wristwatch, with round button chronograph, pavé diamond and sapphire-set dial, baguette sapphire-set bezel, 12 hour and 30 minute registers and an 18K white gold Rolex deployant clasp. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, buttons and a “Triplock” crown protected by the crown guard, the bezel is set with 24 light blue baguette sapphires, sapphire crystal. Entirely pavé diamond-set white gold with blue sapphire-set indexes, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30- minute registers. White gold and black “baton” hands. Cal. 4130, rhodium-plated, 44 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, free-sprung monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 12.5 mm Notes In December 1997, the white gold Daytona Perpetual was finally delivered to retailers.
