Longines – Cronografo Contador – Hunting Scene Longines, "Cronografo Contador", Swiss, No. 2403541. Made circa 1915. Fine, keyless, silver, hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, instantaneous 30-minute register and decorated case. To be sold without reserve Four-body, bassine, solid, the front cover decorated in high relief with a scene of a hunter in a mountainous landscape, the back with a gun dog holding a gamebird in it’ mouth, laurel and berry band. Hinged cuvette engraved with various Longines Grand Prix award medals. White enamel with bold painted Arabic numerals, outer Arabic minute and fifths of a second chronograph divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds and the 30-minute register. Blued steel spade hands. Cal. 19.73N, rhodium-plated, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed.
