Calendar & Alarm Aug(us)te Klein, 6 Bd. des Capucines. Made circa 1890. Fine, gilt brass, eight-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm and dual calendar. To be sold without reserve Multi-piece, “gorge”, molded top and base, the sides and top glazed with bevelled glass, hinged carrying handle. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary dials for alarm setting, days of the week and date. Blued steel Breguet hands. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, striking, repeating and alarm on a bell, with button on the top for activating the repeating, further barrel for the alarm train. Dial signed. Dim. 14.5 x 10 x 9 cm.
