Minute-Repeater Longines, Swiss, “Repeticion”, No. 31821. Made for the Hispanic market, circa 1910. Very fine, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch. Four-body, bassine et filets, engine-turned with polished borders, the front cover with engraved monogram in a shield. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with medals awarded at different exhibitions and “Grand Prix – Paris - 1900”. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with 5-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Fancy gilt hands. 19’’’, rhodium plated, 25 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 54 mm.
