Jaeger-LeCoultre Bees Clock Jaeger-leCoultre, Ref. 404, Swiss. Made circa 1960. Fine and rare brass and Lucite 8-day going desk clock. Rectangular Lucite panels held by four brass screws mounted on a stepped brass base with bee motif by Marina. Applied brass dart indexes. Fancy hands. Baguette, skeletonized, train running in straight line in small two bar frame, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Signed on dial and numbered on case. Height 19.5 cm, length 14.5 cm, depth 2.3 cms. Notes Like the Atmos series by Marina, these desk clocks were made in four different themes, with either black or white motifs, the bees being the rarest.
