The Queen’s Guard. D. S. & S., English, Swiss movement. The case with London hallmarks for 1952-53. Fine and rare, 18K two-tone gold, ruby and diamond-set brooch fitted with a watch, made especially to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of England. To be sold without reserve Three-body, the top representing a Lifeguard of the Blues and Royals standing and holding a trumpet against a white gold sentry box, his helmet set with rubies, his sash and glove with diamonds, watch below, spring-loaded and hinged, front cover in the form of a trumpet banner engraved "ER II" surmounted by the royal crown. Silvered, dot indexes and Arabic quarter-hour numerals. Blued steel Alpha hands.
