Imhof - Le Jardin Médiéval Clock with Painted Enamel Dial ImHof, Swiss, No. 1427954, Ref. 150 407. Made circa 1960. Fine, square, gilt brass desk clock with Limoges-style painted on enamel dial. To be sold without reserve Gilt-brass with serpentine front, swinging pierced leafdecorated door panels, leaf handle and bun feet. Square, painted on enamel in the Limoges style with a lady in her garden, a young couple looking on, over-applied silvered chapter ring with baton indexes and Roman quarterhour numerals. White metal fleur de lys hands. 8-day, nickel, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, rack regulator. Dial and movement signed. Dim. height 18 cm., width 16.5 cm., depth 5.7 cm. Notes Imhof clocks with painted on enamel dials were made in very small quantities and were the most expensive pieces in the range.
