WILLIAM ALEXANDER, HEXHAM, STAR OF DAVID William Alexander, Hexham, No. 536. Hallmarked Birmingham 1843. Fine and unusual, silver pocket watch incorporating the Star of David. To be sold without reserve Two-body, solid, hinged bezel, plain reverse with exposed winding hole, six-sided star of David to the band, each decoratively engraved and skeltonized point incorporating a Chai symbol. White enamel with heavy black Roman numerals, outer minute track. Gilf spade hands. Gilt full plate movement with pierced and engraved single footed cock, fusee train with verge escapement, turned pillars, index regulator. Movement signed. Case diam. 51 mm.
