- Black Starr & Frost travel watch Kreisler, retailed by Black, Starr & Frost, Swiss. Made circa 1928. An extremely fine Art Deco sterling silver and black enamel travel watch. To be sold without reserve Rectangular, with engraved geometric Art Deco pattern, cartouche with engraved letter M, the shutters open upon activation of the two black enamel side push-buttons. Silver, applied silver Breguet numerals, applied dot outer minute track. Cathedral hands. Rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, 2 adjustments, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring. Signed on dial and movement, numbered on case. Dim. 38 mm x 33 mm. Thickness 8 mm. Notes Black, Starr & Frost One of America's oldest fine jewelers, the firm was originally founded in 1810, as Marquand and Barton.
