LeCoultre. Made in the 1960s. Fine and unusual, 8-day-going, keyless table clock with alarm and night/day indicator, designed as a candlestick. To be sold without reserve Chrome in the shape of a candlestick, “Clous de Paris” decoration on both rims. Silver, aperture for the alarm. Black painted Roman numerals. “Louis XV” hands with rotating day and night indicator disk. Cal. 18’’’, nickel-plated, 13 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 14 cm. high. Notes Available in two different finishes (chrome, like the present example, or brass-plated), it was also available with time only, unlike the present example which features an alarm and a night/day indicator. These are rarer and more difficult to find.
