JAEGER-LECOULTRE REF. 160 ART DECO TABLE CLOCK “MOSAIQUE” Jaeger-LeCoultre, Ref. 160. Made circa 1930. Very fine and very rare, semi-mysterieuse, glass, chrome and hardstone-set, 8-day going Art Deco table clock. To be sold without reserve Circular, chromed, the bezel set with alternating fl at black and raised red glass and hardstone triangles, larger black rectangles corresponding with the hours, glazed on both sides, chromed housing for the movement, rectangular chromed base and further rectangular polished black glass base. Glass with reverse painted white baton indexes, center with white concentric circles. Chrome Art Deco hands. Cal. 222, rhodium-plated, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed. Diam. 18 x 21.8 cm. Notes A very rare model of Jaeger-LeCoultre clock which is inlaid with glass and hardstone. A superb example of high Art Deco design. The Jaeger archives state that this model was called “Mosaique” by the company. 204 S
