Fine, gilt-brass and glass, 8-day going table clock with annual Calendar. Accompanied by a fitted box and booklet. Rectangular semi-circular, gilt brass, glazed with beveled glass, hinged front door, three oak-leaf fi nials, the base engraved “Bicentenaire de la Révolution Française 1989”, the clock situated in the lower half of the case with gilt-brass bezel resting on cast gilt-brass oak-leaves, in front of a giltbrass arch-top plaque engraved with the “Declaration des Droits de L’Homme et du Citoyen” of 1789, three inverted cone feet. Circular white with radial Roman numerals, aperture for the annual calendar, printed with the French fl ag and 1789- 1989. Black baton hands. Circular gilt-brass, two-train (the striking train redundant), going barrels, straight-line lever escapement mounted on a vertical platform, monometallic balance, self-compensating fl at balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed. Dim. 33 x 18.5 x 9 cm.
