Very fine and very rare, water-resistant, oversized, “carré galbé”, self-winding, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with date and an integral 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe bracelet (worn & stretched) with deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original Certificate of Origin and a Patek Philippe wooden box. Property of the original family Two-body, polished and brushed, flat bezel, sapphire crystal. Black with horizontal stripes, applied luminous yellow gold baton indexes, outer dot minute divisions, aperture for the date. Luminous yellow gold baton hands. Cal. 28-255 C, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 36 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, 21K gold rotor segment. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 42 x 44 mm. THICKNESS 7.5 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm. Notes This reference 3700 dates from 1979 and therefore is from the early period of production which started in 1976 and ceased in 1990. The pre-1980 watches from this reference are regarded as something of a `holy grail` amongst Nautilus collectors. The present watch is in quite worn condition but retains the original Certificate of Origin
