D. Lapraik, China, No. 675, English, made for the Chinese Market, with London hallmarks for 1861-62. Fine 18K gold and enamel hunting cased watch. Four body wit integral dome, engine-turned band, the back of scarlet flinque enamel centred with a rosette and five fleurs-de-lys, the cover decorated with a wreath of engraved foliage over a blue enamel ground and centred with a small rosette over a scarlet flinque ground, within a gold florally engraved frame. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "fleurs-de-lys " hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain and maintaining power, English pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, English gilt brass cock engraved with foliage decoration, ruby end-stone. Gilt brass dust cap. Signed on the dial, dust cape and back plate. Diam. 46 mm.
