Sennet Freres, Swiss, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1900. Fine 14K gold and enamel, hunting cased, pearl-set, keyless minute repeating watch. Four body, "bassine et filets " with split-pearl set bezels, the band engraved with formal decoration, on one side, the blue enamel cover panel painted with a portrait of a maiden, on the other, the blue enamel cover panel painted with a pastoral scene depicting a young shepherd playing the serenade to a maiden. Hinged gold cuvette decorated with medals awarded to the painter at different exhibitions. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade " hands.
