"Dauphine" pink gold hands. Cal. 471, copper coloured, 19 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 34 mm. Notes The Seamaster XVI, named in reference to the Jubilee of 25 years Official Timing by Omega at the International Olympic Games, was created for the XVIth Edition of the Games in Melbourne in 1956, and presented at the Basel Fair the same year. Two models were made: one with the Maltese Cross on the dial and back, symbol of the Olympic Excellency offered to Omega at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952, and the other with the number "XVI" in 18K pink gold applied on the dial. Both watches were prouced in very few examples.
