Jubilé Chappuis, Swiss, circa 1830. Very fine 18K gold gem-set watch. Double body, fully decorated with turquoise and tourmaline beaded ornaments in a shell pattern. Eccentric gold engine-turned with Roman numerals with outer two coloured gold cast floral and foliage decoration. Blued steel "scoties" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece.Signed on the back plate.Diam. 44 mm.
