Ecole d’Horlogerie de Paris, made in 1944. Fine and historically important silver keyless watch, made by Mr. Georges Brown as a Master piece. Four-body, massive, “bassine”, polished. Silver cuvette. White enamel with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold “spade” hands. 18’’’, gilt brass, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring.Signed on the dial, signed by Georges Brown and dated on the movement.Diam. 52 mm. Notes Georges BrownSon of Edward Brown and grandson of Edward Brown, who was entrusted by Antoine Louis Breguet to run the horological department. Mr. Georges Brown was the last owner of Breguet, before the founding of Montres Breguet, the present company.
