De Belle à Paris, No. 4435, circa 1800.Very fine and unusual silver moon phase astronomical calendar watch. Double-body Directoire, polished. White enamel with Roman numerals and red outer Arabic minutes ring. Small subsidiary dials for sunrise and sunset with the four parts of the day, the days of the week with symbols of their planets, the seconds, the moon phase and lunar calendar, the date of the Gregorian calendar with inner red Republican dates on 30 days and the months with their number of days. Gold hands. Hinged gilt brass with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plin brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece.Signed on the back plate.Diam. 64 mm.
