Charles Oudin & Cie. , Horlogers de la Marine, Palais Royal, 52, Paris, No. 2994, circa 1874.Fine 18K varicoloured gold and enamel keyless fob watch with matching châtelaine, in original leather fitted box. Four-body, massive, the blue enamel back applied with the three-coloured gold monogram “S.F.B.”, outer chased two-coloured gold decoration of fleurs-de-lys. Hinged gold cuvette. Fine three-coloured gold matching châtelaine decorated with chased seed-pearl set flowers and fleurs-de-lys, topped by a count’s crown above the joined coat of arms of the De Béjarry and Sebeud families. White enamel with Roman numerals and red outer Arabic minutes ring. Gold “spade” hands. 11’’’, gilt brass, 12jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Signed on the dial, cuvette and movement.Diam. 31 mm.Accompanied by the matching Heraldic justification. Notes This watch was certainly commissioned for the wedding of Count Amédée de Béjarry with Elisabeth de Sibeud St. Ferriol, celebrated on February 12, 1874.
