Leroy & Cie., Véritable Ancienne Maison Le Roy & Fils - Horlogers de la Marine, 7, Boulevard de la Madeleine, Fondée en 1785. 13-15, Palais Royal, Paris 1900, this charming timepiece was sold soon after the firm moved, just in time for the Universal Exhibition of 1900, from the Palais Royal to the Boulevard de la Madeleine. The court case between Leroy & Cie, from the Galerie Montpensier and Le Roy & Fils (Thomas Garnier), frm the Galerie de Vallois, was then far from being solved as attested by the mention “Véritable Ancienne...” in the signature.
