Japan, circa 1850. Fine and highly unusual brass travelling medical seconds register, in original fitted box. Brass posted frame with four turned columns,the balance at the top. Brass, engraved with the60 seconds. Blued steel counterpoised single hand. the dial plate engraved with lotus flowers below the dial. Brass train, the going barrel engraved with flowers, verge escapement, brass two-arm balance, flat balance spring.Dim. 11 x 5,5 x 5 cm.
