Double-body, Directoire with rose-cut diamond set bezels, the back enamel panel painted with a very fine scene depicting a young couple near a rose-cut, diamond-inlaid temple of love. White enamel with Arabic numerals. Rose-cut diamond-set Louis XVI hands. Hinged gilt-brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Gilt-brass continental balance cock with polished steel end-piece.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 54 mm.
