Auguste Saltzman, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 1325, circa 1875.Very fine 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless, two-train, independent seconds watch with quarter-second 'foudroyante'. 21’’’, nickel, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature screws, blued-steel Breguet balance sprng with Phillips outer terminal curve, both trains fully jeweled, the escapement with ruby endstones, tandem winding.Signed on dial, case and movement.Diam. 57 mm. Notes Movement engraved: patented June 1858, independent quarter seconds.
