The Altar of LoveGuex à Paris, circa 1800. Fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel pocket watch. Two-body, "Directoire", back painted on enamel with a couple by an altar of love decorated with gold paillons, in a woodland landscape against dark blue sky, gold paillon bezels on translucent dark blue enamel. 44 mm., full plate slim caliber, similar to the Hessen type, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm plain brass balance wth flat balance spring, continental cock with steel endplate.Signed on the dial and movement.Diam. 51 mm.
