Zimmerman, 31 Slater St., Liverpool, hallmarked for Chester 1860, Royal Presentation.Fine and unusual, 18K gold skeletonized pocket watch with Royal coat of arms and special patented caliber. three-body, "bassine et filets", entirely decorated with vermicelli pattern, spring-loaded back centered with the British Royal coat of arms. gold ring with Roman numerals on matted background, each numeral separated by engraved flower, outer minute track. "Spade" gold hands. Center cut for the skeletonized movement. Notes The English patent office records indicate only one patent issued to T. Dunn, No. 1257 of May 17, 1861 regarding case-design. The Fabrication of a movement in a non-standard design is very unusual for English watches.
