Illinois Watch CoNo. 1271845, private label, W "Favorite", circa 1895.Early, silver and gold, "Chesapeake & Ohio", Railroad Inspector L. Fredeking, Hinton W.VA. watch. Two-body, "bassine", polished, bezel with reeded border, back with inlaid rose gold engraved with a locomotive with a coal wagon behind, gold flowers below. White enamel, double sunk, bold Arabic numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute red Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "Parallel Spade" hands. Notes The Chesapeake Railroad ran from Clayton, Delaware to Easton, Maryland on a 44 mile stretch of rail through Kenton, Greensboro, Denton, and Easton on the Delmarva Peninsula.
