Albert Reymond, "Ecole d'horlogerie du Locle", 1894-96. A very rare and interesting collection of technical drawings by a student in Jules Grossman's class of the horological school at le Locle, comprising study of ebauches (Vacheron, Jürgensen, bascule or pivoted detent), Pellaton's tourbillon, wheel trains, gearing, escapements (including pivoted and spring detent chronometer), chronograph work, repeating work, tools, and more. Large format 53 x 37 cm. of 45 drawings. Notes One of the best horologists of the time, Grossman was an author as well as a practicing watchmaker who was highly regarded by his peers. This is the first time that drawings by one of his students are being offered at auction.
