Elson, London, No. 245, circa 1750. Very fine 22K gold and colored glass pair-cased watch. Outer: back decorated with translucent red glass simulating hardstones, alternating with repoussé chimerasand masks, bezel with four enamel "stones" and repousse scrolling. White enamel, radial Roman numerals,outer minute dot divisions with five-minute Arabic markers. Gold "Louis XV" hands. 32 mm, frosted gilt full-platewith Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring, single-footedcock, missing dust cap.Signed on the movement.Diam. 46 mm.
